In addition to TextExpander, Smile's (wow, it takes a while to get used to the name) portfolio of Mac OS X apps includes PDF editor PDFpen, CD/DVD label designer DiscLabel, and its fax app PageSender. I suspect that Smile is planning on streamlining this process in the coming months (the app’s 2.0 update added an auto-capture feature, and this, for PDFpen Scan+, was a big step forward. PDFpen is not available for Windows but there are plenty of alternatives that runs on Windows with similar functionality.
